Its been so hot here lately and it is making sleeping almost impossible (especially when you share a bed with someone who insists on having the electric blanket on even in the middle of summer!) and from the looks of this, I aren't the only one who is feeling a bit tired this morning. Melly definitely was not going to be woken up or moved from her spot on the bed. I even had to make the bed around her. Shes such a lump, you can pick her up and move her and she doesn't even open her eyes. I'm sure she's convinced that if she keeps her eyes shut we'll think she's asleep and won't put her outside when we leave. And this morning she was so cute that I didn't. I wish I could have stayed home with her!

Some more Christmas Photos...
I was just making up a proof sheet for a client with the photos I took at last year's Santa Parade. I was quite amused by some of them I found. I can't remember taking half of them. We had such a great spot up on the roof and it was a really good afternoon, busy with the photo taking and all but still really fun. Some of them don't seem to be that Christmassy though...
... a rather drunk looking bee ...
... a jazz band ...
... a very angry looking Ronald ...
... and a cows backside!
Ahhh, this is more like it!
Some of my crafty holiday fun...
Here are the three (commissioned) peekaboos I made in my holiday time. They were quite lovely and when making things in a bit of production line like I did, it doesn't take much longer to make three then it did to make one! I was alos very good and made them all out of my stash of fabric, I didn't buy one little bit (I was very tempted though!)
A Very Late Chirstmas Post
Christmas at my mums house involved a lot of presents, a lot of movie watching, a lot of eating, cooking and more eating and a lot of drinking. (Also a lot of hearing about the evils of drinking, that was from my grandad but only until we got him nicely toasted. Apparently Vodka is evil but fortified wine isn't. Go figure). The weather was great, only had one day of rain, which unfortunatly was the one day we decided to hit the boxing day sales. We got drenched! All in all a good time was had by all (as the photos below will clearly show).

(Sorry Tracy but it was too good not to put on! She's not as toasted as she looks, really, it was more a happy accident of the camera!)
The Palms

On Saturday night, Shane took me out for a really beautiful dinner at The Palms in Queens Gardens. The food was beautiful and the setting was magnificent. We had a really great table overlooking the gardens and we got to watch the sun setting through the leaves. I wish had my camera but that may have ruined the ambiance. It was so nice to go out and do something together, its been quite a while since we went on a 'date". I had a really great night.
Don't worry I didn't die or anything terrible...
Sorry for the really long absence but with the rush up to Christmas and then going away for Christmas and then coming home for New Years and absolutly relishing the wonderfulness of not having to go to work for two weeks, I have kind of let my blogging slip abit. Not that I don't have lots to share, and I will do soon. But I left my memory card at home today so it'll have to be tomorrow.
