Promise Journal
This little project was one of my goals today. It is a little promise journal, about a not so little promise! I want to remember everything about this time, my feelings, the event, have a place to put special photos, messages, plus record any little ideas I have about 'the big day'. I wanted something special and pretty so I can keep this feeling of excitement and happiness alive every time I look at it.

A Scrappy kinda Day
I've had a really great day today, finishing my catch-up of Paper Adventure 08. The photos of my finished pages are here. So much paper, Thickers are my absolute fav, and using some of my new photos, it was a great day. My fingers are now so cold I can barely type but it was totally worth it.
It was a great birthday!
I had just the best birthday, and birthday break (which is drawing to a close as we speak!). I'll pop up some more photos soon and there is to be a separate post about another big event!

I've been toying with the idea of a tattoo for a while now and the other day I sketched it into reality.
I'm thinking of shades of blue/aqua and yellow. On my shoulder and eventually a little mirror image of it will go on my other shoulder. Now just have to work up the courage and the money!

Red Velvet Cupcakes
Today is my last day at work before my big "Birthday Long Weekend!" so I treated the team to some yummy red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. They went down very well.

I found out on Saturday that I won a highly-commended award in the Pride in Print awards. For the second year in a row! I'm so proud and excited. I love winning stuff!

Fancy Pins
Because of the move at work, we got new, very large, pin boards. So I decided last night to make some very fancy, cover pins for the board. I hit my stash of fabric and make two pins from all my fav's. They look great in a big bowl but I realized I'm going to have to make a lot more to pin up all my stuff. Or just use some ordinary pins as well. It will make the pretty ones stand out even more. It is such an un-crafty environment at work, I just love adding a little bit of craft here and there. Far more cozy and inspiring.
ACEO's
See I did get busy and started making a dint in the pile of cards. I am still deciding whether or not to put them in the shop or not? What do you think? I'd rather just swap them with someone, anyone keen? Sorry for the quality of photos, we are well into winter here which means I don't get to see the sun until August. I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark and I am well and truly over it. So no good photos until then, unless I actually remember to take them in the weekend (that is unless the rain is pouring down, which it usually is. Getting washing dry is a nightmare, don't even get me started!)
Cutting, cutting, cutting...
I've spent a good deal of this afternoon cutting up some matt board offcuts I got from my local framer, for use as ACEO's. I now have enough little cards of varying colours to last me a good while. Best I get drawing then eh?
And speaking of the shop...
I also found this cute little frame for photographing my new ACEO's. I think it is easier to see them in situ so this was just perfect. I may even have to frame a few new ones.

I received this beautiful buttons in the mail from Liza Corbett this week. Beautifully packaged, I couldn't throw it away, I had to put it in my album. The buttons are beautiful and you can get some here.
Moving Day
Finally in. My phone is on the wrong side of the room but not having a phone isn't the worst thing that could happen! Still a bit of sorting out/throwing away/organising to be done but essential we are done. Phew!
An Apology
Sorry for the lack of posting of late. This week has been super hectic. We are moving our office and it really isn't the best week to do it as I have a million things due to go to the printers/at the printers/in various stages of proofing. So I really need the computer/email/stuff up

My new collection of drawings is up in the shop now. Themed "Under the Sea" it is a collection of cute underwater creatures. Jellyfish, dolphin, whale, seahorse and the above fishes. Have a look!
Two Little ACEO's
Finally a photo of the little original ACEO's I've made. I have been waiting for some decent lighting but there seems to be little chance of that happening some (winter has definitely taken its hold) so this will have to do for now. "Octo" and "Tubby", both a hand drawn in pencil on a nice mid-blue matt board.
