Steady Hands Sometimes Shake
I have finished the third of Rachel's art journal classes and bound them all up into a book. You can see all the pages here. This has been a real highlight of this year. I have bought a great art journal book and am going to continue on doing it. I have started a journal about our wedding and also about the personal journey of change I am going through. Both are a bit personal to share at this stage but maybe one day.

Good I am loving these! Again, much help from Hook and Needles, including the pattern, a few hours on a rainy Saturday and there I have it, my Halloween costume (it just needs to be sewn to a head band now!).

Over the last three days I have taught myself to crochet, using the internet and some helpful and some not-so-helpful video tutorials. After some pretty appalling attempts I found Hook and Needles, the most helpful site with some really great beginners tutorials. I was off and running and today at lunch I completed my first little amigurumi using this pattern. Now I'm hooked. I've already bought the wool for my next little project! But more on that later...

I had my first little go at embroidery after I found this little hoop in a pile of stuff. I really like it and it likes being on the wall in my little 'making stuff room'.
I hate my new glasses...
They make me feel dizzy and funny and I have made an appointment to see about getting Lasik surgery. My stomach flips just thinking about it.

So funny I almost wet my pants!
Step Brothers was rude, crude and I loved every minute of it. I haven't laughed so hard in a very long time and it was exactly the kind of medicine I needed! A group of us from the department all went after work last Friday night and it was great. Shane even managed to come with us so it felt like a little step back to normality.
