Me Me Me

I decided to take a photo each morning for the 30 days before my birthday. This is the result. That is a lot of me. I even put the really crappy photos in just to stay true to the idea. What can I say, it was a pretty emotional month.

The first on my list - DONE

The first thing on my list was to make a new handbag. So I sat down yesterday and designed this one. So far it worked out very well. The handle is the right length, inside there are all sorts of little pockets for my things, its grey on the outside and very sturdy denim but inside is bright and cheery and colorful. Sorry for the awful pictures but I won't be seeing sunlight again til August so they'll have to do for now.

28 Before 29 Book

In order to document my achievements for this year I made a little mini-book to keep photos and mementos in. It is only little 6 x 4, but will fit photos nicely. I used all sorts of bright papers and patterns because I want this year to be happy and bright and positive. I've already completeed one thing off my list!

So many possibilities...

Trina gave me a new Munny for my birthday. I love him and the ideas about what to do with him are flowing through my brain (preventing me from in anyway concentrating on the mundane task I have to do!). I might like to glitter him, sparkle him, crochet him, cupcake him...
or leave him on my shelf for a year like the other one! No, this Munny will be done before my next birthday!

28 Today!

I can't believe how old I am! I really don't feel 28. More like 22. That's not to say I felt like this at 22. I didn't. But I wish I had.

This was not what I had planned for my birthday. I really wish my mum had been able to come down, I really wish we weren't on our eighth straight day of rain and I wish I had had my little afternoon tea party like I wanted. But you gotta roll with the punches right? I am really trying to enjoy the day. We had a yummy breakfast out, I bought a couple of new jerseys and we are about to go to a family lunch with my dad. I can't help feeling a little disappointed though.

Happy Birthday to me and Anyone else that is having their birthday today. I hope you have a great one!

Here's one I forgot!

I did this layout a while ago but with everything that has been going on I forgot to put it on the blog! It was for Creative Type's Hand Job prompt, I just wasn't quick enough!

Apparently I plan ahead, am interested in beauty and design, am shy and can't have intimate relationships easily, am affectionate, passionate and expressive, I enjoy my life my own way and do not depend on the opinions of others. It mostly sounds pretty familiar, I wish that last bit was a bit more true!

Blythe Scrapbook Love

My lovely mum gave me some money for my birthday so of course I ran straight to Scrapbook Paradise and spent said money! Came home last night and got three pages done. I totally love my new Fiskars Upper Crest punch, I managed to use it on all three pages. It's really quite versatile.

My Ladies are getting a present!

Look what I just bought from Danielle. You should very quickly go to her shop Tiny Bazaar and see if you can nab one yourself. I predict they will fly off the shelves. I've been eyeing this one since she first blogged about them. What a talented lady!

House Hunting

Image from Here.

We have started the horrendous process of trying to buy a house. We have found a place we both love and now we are trying to work out whether we can afford it or not. It is so nerve-wreaking! I've been up half the night panicking about what will happen if we get it and what will happen if we don't. Fingers crossed that this works out for us!

It was a cake kind of day...

Six straight days of rain and no end in sight! Cake was called for, and had!

Pants Progression

I have progressed from Blythe sized clothes to me sized clothes and that's a pretty big leap! I am so proud of these pants I made, mastered the zip, put in pockets and embroidered my name on the butt! They are slightly too big but super comfy. They are Burda Pattern 8087 if you want to have a go! If you do, they are very big so go one or two sizes smaller then the sizing chart!

Two Roads

I am at a real cross-road in my life at the moment which has really got me down. I didn't see this coming at all, I thought I was doing really well for a while. Anyway, I did a little journal page about it, which tied in nicely with OLW's 2nd Birthday.

The (Blythe) eyes are the window to the soul

I've never been fond of the stock eyes on my little Amelia, especially the pink and orange ones. So last night, when I arrived home to find my new order of BrainWorm eye chips, I decided it was time for a mini makeover!

The old eye chips were so much easier to get out then Lorelei's (Pleaseant Peasant), they just popped out first time, no hassle at all.
Using the old and new eye chips and some foils I made a cute little selection of eye colours to choose from.

So she got a set of soulful, deep brown to match her lovely hair...

And beautiful blue, almost violet ones.

She is looking much happier now. I also did Lorelei's chips again, this time adding some foils to the chips but forgot to take any photos! I think I am going to have to open her head to correct her gaze and I wouldn't mind re-rooting her hair so I'm trying to work up the courage to get going on her.

Blythe Mini Book

I finally finished my little Blythe Mini-book, filled with my favourite photos of my little ladies.

See more photos here.

Damn Daylight Savings

I am still not used to getting up and going to work in the dark. As I was walking out the door this morning, the sun was only just peeping over the hill.

The "Getting it Together" Quilt

I finally finished up my quilt on Sunday, despite my terrible tooth-ache. I love how it turned out, it isn't perfect but it is cosy and just right for snuggling up on the couch.

Whats the time?

Our living room shift around to accommodate the new heat-pump left us with no clock in the room. So I decided to make one last weekend. A piece of foam board, some contact paper, some thickers and a clock mechanism was all it took and now I have this...
