An extra page

I did another pages for Kara's class last night. Fun simple and the music was pretty uplifting too, particularly for a very stormy night like last night. I'm sad the class is over. It was nice looking forward to something.

I finally got to finish up a few pages and take some photos of my art journal for Kara's class. I've had such a good time doing this. And working in a book like this has been a different and interesting journey. Check out everyone's fantastic work on Flickr.

Kara's Class

I've been having so much fun taking Kara's class. I haven't had much time to get a lot done during the week so I am expecting to do most of it today and tomorrow.

I had to share this great clip she showed us. I love this. I've listened to it a few times in the quiet of this morning and now I feel ready for the day.

A Tribute to TVW

This months prompt at The Spark is about tributes. It's sad when a tribute is after someone has died so I thought I'd make a little tribute to someone who has fundamentally shaped who I am... my mum. Mum's had a rough time lately so I made her this little mini to remind her of all the things I love about her. I loosely based the book off this post but didn't really follow the instructions correctly so it is a little bit different.

Frozen... part two

Carrying on from this post, I've been working a lot more on my winter art journal. I am really loving this format and experimenting with different styles and media. Hasn't really helped me hate winter less or feel warmer. But ti does give me something to do, other than look outside at the rain! Come on Summer, hurry up!

Blythe just got creepier!

I finally took the plunge and decided to give my little Lorelei a bit of a spruce up with some mild customization.

I carefully removed her scalp (which had quite a bit of glue on it) and opened her head no problem.

I had to soak the eye mech for a long time to get the eyelashes out! I corrected her gaze and I might give her sleep eyes too.

She is yet to get new eyelashes, new makeup and I am going to reroot her hair into a dark brown bob with a fringe. I've never loved her blonde hair, it looked funny with her dark, pink toned skin.

Tired of wet

I decided... deer for me (of course)

Although I did spend a long time in front of the plastic animal display trying to decide what I loved best. Bears, rabbits, pandas, dogs, but in the end, it had to be deer.
