Happy (Inter) National Scrapbooking Day 2019! :: Citrus Twist Blog Hop

There is so much fun happening today for (Inter) National Scrapbooking Day 2019! I've cleared off my desk and my calendar and I'm ready for the scrappy fun to begin!

 

For this pocket challenge, I made a fun page in my Traveler's Notebook! I altered the star burst pocket cut file from Citrus Twist to create a place to hold my photo and journalling. I love the boldness of the black, it creates a real focal point, even without a photo! To stop my photo getting caught on the little points, I backed it with a piece of patterned paper from the Life Crafted kit. My journalling is on one of the fun die cuts from the kit too!

To create the background pattern for my page, I used two leaf stamps from the THIS IS LIFE stamp set. I randomly stamped them around the page, overlapping in some places, in a few different ink colours. I LOVE the way this turned out! I created the title for my page from pieces of the sam stamp set mixed in with a couple of different CTK alpha stamps. Once I added a few extra die cut pieces, my page was done!
