Traveler's Notebook :: Minus Expectations

As I watched Casey Neistat's video last week, this quote really struck me. So I put it in my insert so I wouldn't forget!

I kept things super simple (and I do mean SUPER simple) with some stamps and puffy stickers from Feed Your Craft*

Traveler's Notebook :: Give her rest

I decided it was high time I started another quote insert, so I whipped up another yellow paper insert using this tutorial and got to work.

I loved this quote about self-care from Dr Rebecca Ray on Instagram, such an important subject to me, so it was only fitting that it be the first one!

I used my new Progess Alpha stamps from Kellie Stamps, which, of course, were going to be too big to stamp the whole things! So I picked out the most important part to me and gave that emphasis, filling in the rest of the quote with typing and alpha stickers.

Traveler's Notebook :: Kovie Biakola quote

In a world that straight-up seems to have gone mad, when you come across a quote like this, it deserves a little something special. And you know its special if you use your entire stash of Maggie Holmes ephemera for it.

The entire quote is:

"It’s okay to want things other people have; it is quite natural and we should want good things for ourselves. But we should not fool ourselves into thinking that other people have picture-perfect lives. Everyone struggles, everyone hurts, and everyone is enduring something that they probably won’t tell you about. Whatever picture people paint their life as, rest assured that any one life in all its parts is beautiful and dark, hopeful and weary, a blessing and an everyday battle. Focus on the good parts of your life and be grateful for your own set of problems because if you knew what everyone else was going through, you would probably still choose your own life.
