After creating a patch-work background, I added some photos, layered on some scraps of paper and washi, added a few embellishments and created a title. The numbers were originally cork but they got lost in that busy background so I used a couple of layers of white paint to help them stand out a bit more.
I haven't gotten as far as I would have liked on my cross-stitch hoop but that didn't stop me from putting together a layout! I'm more than half-way and that is worth celebrating.
