Around here

Around here we've been enjoying the sunshine, in between the rainstorms. But the plants enjoy those so I can't complain too much.

After a grey and brown winter it is nice to see the colour coming back into the place. Spring is really green around here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this sneak peek of Kirsten Voortman's lovely pink home! I want a home just like this. I'm pretty sure Lily would love a hot pink chair, not so sure about Shane though.

So colourful and happy and bright. I must be a bit bolder in my choices for our home. Or at least the bits I can get away with!

Love::Cottons

I did a little sewing this weekend, the results of which were not brilliant but I had fun and took some photos of my growing collection of cottons. I love organising things by colour!

I really do love Summer best!

So it turns out I'm a Summer. More specifically, a Soft Summer. Much like these ladies...

Which means I look best in these kind of colours...

Which is handy, because I love the colours and already have a lot of them in my wardrobe.
I do not, however, look good in black (damn) which means at least half my wardrobe has to go.
I would love to replace it with these...

I might be dreaming but dreams are free!

Colourful!

Check out the colour in that wardrobe! I LOVE IT! I'd love for my wardrobe to be this colourful. It's so bright and cheery and having a separate lovely room for it is just the icing on the cupcake.

My Holiday Book

I've finally managed to upload some photos of my Holiday book I made in the weekend. As you can see I went with my favourite colour combination again!

Most of the pages came form Rachel's wonderful tutorial and some I made myself. I am also going to add pages of special events and memories as I go.

It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to add to it! Here are a few more of the pages in full.

Weekend Plans

My plans for the weekend involve starting on my holiday organiser/december book. I got this great tutorial from Rachel at Smile and Wave and am going to combine it with Ali's idea of December Daily. I did December Daily last year but felt it was a struggle to do a page everyday.

This year I am going to combine the two. An organiser that will have some pages in it from special events/memories etc. That way I don't feel obligated to do something everyday just so I can put it in the book.

My colour scheme is either going to revolve around pinks, dark raspberry, lemon/lime, teal and neutrals...

Or yellow, orange, teals and blues...

Hopefully I will have some pictures to show you soon!

Colours I love Now (SPARK)

A great new challenge blog, SPARK, inspired this post. A colour combo I love right now is yellow with grey and navy blue. I wish I could wear it myself but yellow makes me look like death! So my little Blythe doll, Amelia, got a cute new outfit. Check out SPARK, they are great!

I succumbed. I finally managed to find some Perler beads here in little old Dunedin. And now I have another obsession. I can't stop making things, they are so cute and the colours are awesome!

MONDAY : PINK

I Want Candy! (Part 2)

After yesterday's post I was a bit more open eyed about my surroundings and I realized I am attracted to and do use those colours in my everyday life! I might pay a bit more attention to the colours in my world and do a post each day about different colours, so stay tuned for todays colour.
