The Blythe Transformation

Eye chip removal, not as easy as I had hoped but eventually I got all four sets of eye chips removed, it only took....4 hours! Looks a bit drastic but better then trying to get her scalp off and opening her head up!

New eyechips, I put foil underneath three which makes them nice and sparkly!

Face sanded to remove hideous green eyeshadow and pink lipstick! Tissues to protect brand new eyes!

New makeup, gold/bronze eyeshadow (a bit more subtle) and new darker lips.

A new dress and a photo shoot. I've named her Lorelei.

Still to go, change of hair style, I'm thinking shorter, maybe a little bob and if I can a fringe to hide the edge of her scalp and I want to remove the eyelashes and put more realistic ones in.
But at least I can have her on the shelf now without cringing. The biggest change was removing her hideous dress! I think the Amelia is jealous of her pretty eyes so she might be in for a change too!

Inspired by Amelie

After a lot of lurking I finally did a LO for the latest prompt at Inspired by Amelie. Using the scene where she cuts up the letters to make a new one as inspiration, this is what I came up with.

I want candy!

I've been on a slightly-healthier-eating-sensibly thing for two days and all I can think about is candy! My mind and body is craving sugar badly. I've been feeling retched, but am going to try and control myself for a few days longer and hopefully this pain will subside! These types of photos don't help!

1. Valentine's Ribbon Candy, 2. Candy Stars and Sprinkles, 3. candy heart valentines cupcakes, 4. The Real Beauty Of The Candy Cane...., 5. Jawbreaker, 6. Tasty Technicolor Treats, 7. I have a bit of a sweet tooth, 8. Untitled, 9. Sweet Little Worms ~, 10. The pink ones are the best...., 11. Sweets / Dulces, 12. hard candy

The Eiffel Dress

The latest prompt at Work your Soul is about vintage paper. I really liked Jamaica's take on it so decided to do something similar. I don't really have much vintage paper but love anything french, so I got some vintage maps of Paris from Fairy Davis and Friends and printed them onto fabric and made a little dress for my Amelia.

My Dearest

A weekend of furious crocheting resulted in my second deer being finished, luckily too, as I'm heading home to see mum this weekend and it is an early birthday present for her!

A friend for Amelia

My newest doll arrived on Friday and I was a little disappointed with her. She is a "Pleasant Peasant", she's a little scuffed up and I'm just not feeling her. So I have decided to give her a little makeover! I've already ordered some new eye chips (hers are terrible!) from B.W. Dolls so once they arrive I'll begin her transformation! (creepy picture alert!)

The colours I chose are plum, steel blue, spring bud and wheat. I think they'll look great with her pale hair. More pictures as soon as I've decided what to do and actually started!

Fawn v2.0

My mum loved the first Fawn so much she asked me to make one for her. The weather has been aweful so it was a good excuse to sit down and start. Here is a couple of sneeks...

It's been so long...

I haven't picked up a pencil in what seems like months. It felt good.

Whats in a name?

I have finally named her. Amelia. After Amelia Earhart. Amelia Earhart was an aviatrix, she was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She was brave and bold and not afraid to live. I like that.

Some more Blythe fashions

I still haven't named her yet (edit: her name is now Amelia) but I have been churning out clothes left right and centre! I had some quiet time all to myself on Saturday night so I watched movies and sewed Blythe clothes. Then we had to have a little photo shoot in the fading light...

Little Fawn (FINISHED FINALLY!)

All alliteration aside, I have finally finished the fawn. It is a little lop-sided but very cute and I am very proud to have finally finished something from a pattern!

From Lily Allen's video of The Fear

To a cute little dress for unnamed Blythe. (edit: her name is now Amelia)

Looking but not really seeing

I have a habit of seeing myself quite differently from other people. I can't always see the good, but I am starting to learn, slowly but surely. OLW this week was perfect for this.

Sorry for the bad photo, its back to rain again today!

Working the weekend...

As well as working (suck) this weekend, I've been pretty productive too. Go check out Work Your Soul, those girls always have the best prompts. I kinda wish they were weekly I look forward to them so much! Here is my take on the latest prompt.

Kim had this great book with all these patterns in it. I love circles! And there is a link to a really great photo stream with black and white pictures, so unnamed Blythe and I had a little photo shoot. Even her clothes looked kinda 60's!

I don't know what's real anymore...

What better way to celebrate my 300th post then with my new fav song at the moment. I love her dress, might make one for my Blythe! (Which still doesn't have a name!)

Letter to self

There is a bonus prompt at Creative Type about love letters. I love love letters and have really only ever got one. But more importantly, I think I need to send some love letters to myself! Not much type here I know but a picture sometimes says a thousand words. And when I find one of myself that I actually like, it says even more!

Who my heart belongs to...

The latest challenge at Scrap Mojo was a love one. Its pretty clear who my heart belongs to...
